Anything can happen at live events—and it often does!
Live events involve many moving parts, and your AV company must be prepared at all times to get the show back on track. Our years of experience have taught us the importance of being ready and having backups for our backups. While we can’t control the building's power, we ensure everything else is taken care of.
We store the client's media on two laptops, back it up on a thumb drive, and also keep it in Dropbox. Is this overkill? Not at all! This procedure allows our tech team to access the material whenever needed. If the tech responsible for the laptops is unable to attend the event, a second tech can easily retrieve the information. The show will go on.
If the DJ is late due to an accident, we can handle it. We understand the vibe the client wants to create, so we can play music until they arrive. Additionally, we have all the introductions for the speakers ready, just in case. The show will go on.
If a speaker takes longer than expected to reach the stage, that’s not an issue either. We simply display a “Show slide” on the screens until they are ready. The show will go on.
If the microphone stops working during the show, we already have a backup mic on stage (it’s that backup mentality!). The show will go on.
Sometimes venues change the load-in time. We dislike this, but it has happened. For one of our clients, who owns a moving company, this was the case. He provided us with movers to help us meet a tight timeline. The show will go on!
